Buckhead’s $15.6 Million Lenox Boardwalk and Atlanta’s First Multi-Lane Roundabout Are Finished

Two pieces of Buckhead's Lenox Road overhaul are complete, Urbanize Atlanta reports, citing the Buckhead Community Improvement District: the 0.44-mile, $15.6 million Lenox Boardwalk linking the Lenox MARTA station to Peachtree Road, and a $4 million roundabout at Wieuca Road and Phipps Boulevard that qualifies as Atlanta's first multi-lane roundabout. Next are a Lenox Road streetscape phase expected to break ground in 2027 and an elevated pedestrian and bike bridge over GA 400 targeted for 2028, with the full program expected to cost $82 million.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

For people who work, shop or live around Lenox and Phipps, a finished walkway from the Lenox MARTA station to Peachtree Road and a rebuilt Wieuca-Phipps intersection change the daily trip, and the planned GA 400 bridge would tie Buckhead's core to PATH400.
