Sandy Springs’ Morgan Falls Dog Park Set to Reopen in October After Two-Year Closure

The Morgan Falls dog park at Morgan Falls Overlook Park in north Sandy Springs is expected to reopen in early October, with a ribbon cutting set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, according to Rough Draft Atlanta. The park has been closed since late September 2024 for a roughly $1.04 million overhaul that adds shade canopies, two fenced areas, a regraded 3.4-acre site, new grass, benches, a washing station and better drainage.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

For north-metro professionals with dogs, a rebuilt riverside park near the Springway Trail is back on the weekend map, and the city's $1.04 million investment shows how Sandy Springs is spending on quality-of-life amenities.
