Beltline Breaks Ground on Northwest Trail Segment 2A in Buckhead, Set to Finish in Early 2028

The Atlanta Beltline broke ground on Segment 2A of its Northwest Trail, a 0.3-mile stretch along Colonial Hills Circle in Buckhead, according to FOX 5 Atlanta and Urbanize Atlanta, both citing the Beltline. The segment links the finished Northside Trail and Northwest Connector Trail and is scheduled to be completed in early 2028.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

The Beltline is pushing into Buckhead: this piece connects Collier Hills North and Colonial Homes and gives trail access to Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and the Shepherd Center, two major Peachtree Road employers. Section C toward Peachtree Park Apartments is set to start in early 2027, and the full Northwest Trail will run 4.3 miles from Blandtown to Lindbergh and Morosgo.
