Nearly 9 Acres of Blighted Apartments Beside the Beltline Westside Trail Are Now Cleared
The vacant Azalea Gardens Apartments at 1115 Joseph E. Boone Boulevard (20 buildings, 92 units) have been demolished, according to Urbanize Atlanta's report, after the 88-unit Oak Valley Court Apartments on Neal Place next door were cleared last year, leaving nearly 9 acres along Westside Trail Segment 4. Permit records point to grass seeding, and no recent redevelopment permits have been filed.
Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals
A large cleared site on the Westside Trail near planned Beltline housing (about 3,300 units) and the 8-acre Valley of the Hawks park; one to watch for developers, lenders and Westside businesses.
