Bowen Homes Redevelopment Breaks Ground Thursday on a Second Phase With 112 Apartments

According to Urbanize Atlanta, a formal groundbreaking is scheduled Thursday morning for the second phase of the Bowen Homes redevelopment in northwest Atlanta, which calls for another 112 apartments, most of them capped at rates deemed affordable. The new construction goes up along Yates Drive and Wilkes Circle NW, and Atlanta Housing says a new name for the 74-acre property will be unveiled at the ceremony.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Bowen Homes was Atlanta's last major family housing project, and its rebuild is one of the largest pieces of new housing on the Westside. For professionals and business owners, it signals where housing, construction work and neighborhood retail demand are heading next.
