MOCA GA Opens Its New $16.4 Million West Midtown Museum to the Public

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia opened its new permanent home on the Goat Farm Arts Center campus in West Midtown to the public on Oct. 7, Atlanta Magazine reports. The 26,000-square-foot, $16.4 million building has five galleries and was designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects. A private ribbon-cutting was held Sept. 14, and the public opening had been delayed by a hold-up with the city.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

A new museum with evening hours in West Midtown gives Atlanta professionals another place for client outings, dates and after-work plans, and it puts Georgia artists in a permanent home.
