SZA's SOS Logs a 135th Week at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums Chart
SZA's 2022 album SOS has reached a 135th week at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart, the longest-running No. 1 in the chart's history, according to Rated R&B's chart brief for the charts dated Oct. 10. On the same charts, October London's Silent Treatment rose from No. 4 to No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay, his fourth No. 1 there and second this year.
Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals
Catalog staying power is where the long money in music sits. A four-year-old album still leading its chart shows how streaming keeps paying an artist well after release week, and October London's run shows R&B radio is still breaking grown-folks records.
