Delta, Metro Atlanta Chamber and Georgia Farm and Forestry Groups Launch a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition

A new Georgia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition launched Wednesday to evaluate whether the state can build a homegrown sustainable aviation fuel industry from its agriculture and forestry, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Founding members include the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Georgia Farm Bureau, the Georgia Forestry Association and Delta Air Lines, and more than 20 organizations are involved, including Boeing, Cox Enterprises, Georgia Tech, UGA and Hartsfield-Jackson.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

The coalition is studying whether a supply chain linking Georgia farms and forests to Hartsfield-Jackson is economically viable. Professionals in energy, logistics, agribusiness, aerospace and research should watch what it finds.
