Morgan Stanley Picks Dallas Over Alpharetta for $684 Million Regional Hub With 3,800 Jobs

Morgan Stanley selected Dallas over Alpharetta for a $684 million regional hub, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the project Monday; it calls for about 700,000 square feet of leased space and 3,800 employees by the end of 2035, with an average annual wage of $128,000. The firm already has more than 3,000 employees in Alpharetta.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Metro Atlanta lost a head-to-head contest for thousands of high-wage finance jobs, a signal for professionals, recruiters and commercial real estate players in the Georgia 400 corridor about where large employers are adding headcount.
