Netflix's 'A Different World' Sequel Was Filmed on Atlanta University Center Campuses

The new Netflix sequel to 'A Different World' was shot on HBCU campuses in the Atlanta University Center, according to CBS News Atlanta. Cast member Chibuikem Uche told the station that nearly 60% of the crew were current HBCU students or alumni, and Jasmine Guy returns as Whitley Gilbert.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

A major streaming production built on AUC campuses and staffed heavily by HBCU talent is a real pipeline signal for Atlanta's film and TV workforce, and it puts Spelman, Morehouse and Clark Atlanta in front of a national audience.
