Falcons Sign Gervon Dexter Sr. to a Four-Year, $78 Million Contract Extension

The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they agreed to terms with defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. on a four-year contract extension. According to the team, the deal is worth $78 million with $46.5 million guaranteed. Atlanta acquired Dexter from the Chicago Bears in August for defensive back Clark Phillips III and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

The front office is locking in a piece of its defensive line weeks after trading for him, a long-term commitment that shapes the Falcons' cap picture and expectations heading into Monday night's Week 4 game against the Saints.
