CAA Names Former NFL Executive Dasha Smith as Its New Chief Operating Officer

Creative Artists Agency has named Dasha Smith its chief operating officer, Black Enterprise reports, crediting The Hollywood Reporter. CAA announced the appointment on Oct. 5. Smith was most recently the NFL's executive vice president and chief administrative officer and earlier served as Sony Music Entertainment's global chief human resources officer.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Smith's path runs through law, HR and operations rather than the usual agent track, a useful map for professionals aiming at the C-suite in sports and entertainment.
