Atlanta City Council Honors The Colonnade, Open Since 1927, With a 100th Anniversary Proclamation

Councilmember Alex Wan presented The Colonnade with a 100th anniversary proclamation at the Nov. 2 Atlanta City Council meeting, calling it "a legend, an institution, and a City of Atlanta treasure," Rough Draft Atlanta reports. The restaurant opened on Piedmont Road in 1927 and moved to Cheshire Bridge Road in 1962; the owners who bought it in 2024 are only its third, and they plan a book in 2027 and "100 acts of giving back" through the year. Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

A century-old Atlanta dining room still packing tables is a rare piece of city history, and an easy client dinner or date night with a story behind it.
