A $24.3 Million Overhaul of Belvedere Plaza on Memorial Drive Is Moving Ahead in DeKalb

Developer Hutton's $24.3 million investment in Belvedere Plaza at 3479 Memorial Drive in DeKalb County is moving ahead, Urbanize Atlanta reported Oct. 6. The project includes a $3 million Urban Renewal Fund award from Decide DeKalb, and renovations are scheduled to be finished by next summer. Decide DeKalb officials say four new national retailers are planned, including a full-service grocery option, at the center where a Kroger closed.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

The plaza lost its grocery anchor, and a funded renovation with a replacement grocery option is a meaningful retail investment for the Memorial Drive corridor in DeKalb.
