Serena Williams' venture firm led a $3 million seed round for Trace, a presale fashion marketplace, according to AfroTech, citing WWD. Shakti VC also invested. Users paste a product link to list an item before buying it, and other users 'call' to rent or buy it, which lowers the lister's cost. Founders Katie Pfleger, formerly of Etsy, and Ella Rubin, part of the Walmart Online Grocery launch, are Harvard Business School graduates.
