Kerry Washington Returns as Eleanor as Apple TV Renews Imperfect Women for a Second Season

Apple TV has renewed the drama 'Imperfect Women' for a second season, with Kerry Washington set to reprise her role as Eleanor, according to TheWrap. Season 2 follows Eleanor back to her hometown roots on Martha's Vineyard, and Justin Hillian ('The Chi,' 'Snowfall') joins Annie Weisman as co-showrunner. No premiere date has been announced.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Kerry Washington both stars in and executive produces the series through her Simpson Street banner, a reminder for Atlanta's creative professionals that ownership behind the camera is where long-term leverage sits. A second season centered on her character also means more Black-led prestige TV on a major streamer.
