Katt Williams Is Developing Kemet Movie Works, a Studio at the Former Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama

Comedian Katt Williams is developing Kemet Movie Works at the former Fort McClellan Army installation in Anniston, Alabama, with plans for film and TV projects, music production and live performances, including soundstages and an amphitheater, TheGrio reported Oct. 19, citing a USA TODAY interview. Miles College, an HBCU in Alabama, has an agreement to connect students with AI and augmented-reality film production at the site.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Another creator-owned production hub is taking shape in the Southeast, following the model Williams credits to Tyler Perry; Atlanta film, music and live-event professionals should watch for crew and partnership opportunities.
