GDOT Cancels the Oct. 2-5 Weekend Closure of I-285 on the Westside Because of Weather

The Georgia Department of Transportation canceled this weekend's full closure of I-285 between Cascade Road and SR 166/Langford Parkway because of expected weather, according to Atlanta News First. The closure had been scheduled from Friday night through Monday morning as part of the I-285 Westside Rebuild. The report does not give a new date for this stretch.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Westside commuters and airport travelers who planned detours for this weekend can use I-285 as usual. GDOT still has closures planned on most remaining weekends this year, so the reroute planning is not over.
