Duracell Opens a $56 Million Global Research Center Next to Georgia Tech in Atlanta

Duracell has officially opened a $56 million Global Innovation Center for Research and Development at Science Square Labs, next to Georgia Tech, Hypepotamus reported Oct. 7. The 83,000-square-foot center is tied to more than 100 jobs, and CEO Roberto Mendez said a large proportion of the positions have already been filled.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

A century-old consumer brand choosing Atlanta for its global battery research is a signal for the city's science and engineering job market, and for the Science Square district beside Georgia Tech.
