Zoo Atlanta's Panda Grove Opens Nov. 6: How to Tell Ping Ping and Fu Shuang Apart

Zoo Atlanta's new giant pandas, male Ping Ping and female Fu Shuang, go on public view when the Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove opens Friday, Nov. 6, WSB-TV reported Nov. 4. The zoo's Panda Care Team says Ping Ping is noticeably larger with a Y-shaped marking down his nose, while Fu Shuang has a rounder face and a ridge of fur between her ears. The zoo says the habitat had a $6 million renovation funded by the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation. Read the original report from WSB-TV.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

It is the biggest family and date-night outing in town this weekend: Atlanta is again one of three U.S. cities with giant pandas, and opening day has a delayed zoo opening, so plan tickets and timing ahead.
