Westside Stride Turns Howell Mill Road Into a Free Open Street Sunday, Nov. 8, With Atlanta Streets Alive

The free Westside Stride festival returns to Howell Mill Road on Sunday, Nov. 8, from noon to 6 p.m., the AJC lists in its November food events roundup. Presented by the Upper Westside Improvement District, it joins forces with Atlanta Streets Alive for the first time this year, turning part of Howell Mill Road and Marietta Street into an open street for walkers and cyclists, with live music, local food vendors and an artist and maker's market between 8th and 10th streets and between 14th and 17th streets, according to the event's official market listing. Organizers suggest biking, walking, MARTA or ride-share; parking is in paid decks. Read the original report from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

A free Sunday afternoon on the Westside with live music, food vendors and a maker's market is an easy outing with friends, family or a date, and organizers urge biking, walking, transit or ride-share because parking is in paid decks.
