Spruill Center for the Arts Names Three Finalists for Its $10,000 AMPLIFY Mural on Dunwoody's Smoke House

The Spruill Center for the Arts has picked three finalists from 140 submissions for its AMPLIFY mural contest: Tamar Atik, Chad Creasy and Ayana Ross, Rough Draft Atlanta reports. The winner receives $10,000 and paints the side of the historic Smoke House on Ashford Dunwoody Road, with a public unveiling Nov. 21 at the Spruill Center. Creasy is an Atlanta native who teaches painting at Spruill, and Ross is an Atlanta-based oil painter.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

It is a $10,000 public-art commission on a Dunwoody landmark, with two Atlanta-based artists among the finalists and a public unveiling Nov. 21. For business owners in the Perimeter area, it is also a reminder of what a well-placed wall can do for a corridor's identity.
