RenderATL Is Becoming a Year-Round Atlanta Tech Platform
Justin Samuels is expanding RenderATL into a year-round platform that includes Atlanta Tech Week, The Commits awards and the Silicon South Foundation, with a new South Downtown headquarters and plans for weekly community meetups and workshops, Hypepotamus reports. The conference grew from about 300 attendees in 2019 to more than 6,000 at AmericasMart this August, though Samuels told Hypepotamus that 2026 sponsorship was much harder to land, with Atlanta-based companies largely absent. RenderATL returns Aug. 18-19, 2027.
Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals
A year-round home base in South Downtown means regular chances for Atlanta engineers, founders and recruiters to connect, not just once a year. The sponsorship gap Samuels describes is also an opening for local companies that want to be seen backing the city's tech talent.
