Nonalcoholic Drink Brand Sensori Wins $95,000 at Bishop T.D. Jakes' Good Soil Forum

Sensori, the nonalcoholic functional beverage brand co-founded by CEO Shanna Pearre and COO Darean Rhodes, took home $95,000 across two awards at Bishop T.D. Jakes' Good Soil Forum, according to AfroTech's report. The largest award, $75,000, came as first runner-up in the non-tech/consumer packaged goods category of the Wells Fargo Seed Capital Pitch Competition, which gave out $500,000 in equity-free funding. Pearre pitched Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Irving Convention Center in Las Colinas, Texas.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

For Atlanta founders in consumer goods, pitch competitions tied to bank partners are a real source of non-dilutive capital, and Sensori shows how a small brand stacks community investors and prize money instead of waiting on venture firms.
