High Street Developer Asks Dunwoody to Swap Planned Apartments for a Central Green and Luxury Retail

GID Development Group wants to amend the site plan for its roughly $2 billion High Street campus on Perimeter Center Parkway, replacing apartments planned for Block 6 with a central greenspace and luxury retail over a parking podium, according to Rough Draft Atlanta. Dunwoody City Council responded positively at the first public hearing on Oct. 13, and the council votes Oct. 26.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

High Street is the biggest mixed-use bet in the Perimeter office market. Flagship retailers and a walkable central green would change where Perimeter workers eat, shop and meet, and the developer says the change is meant to pull the rest of the campus forward.
