GDOT Plans Overnight Ramp Closures From I-20 to I-285 Northbound on the West Side Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 12-16

According to a Georgia Department of Transportation schedule published by the Cobb County Courier, the ramp from I-20 westbound to I-285 northbound is set to close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 7-9, and the ramp from I-20 eastbound to I-285 northbound is set to close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 12-16, weather permitting. Overnight lane closures are also scheduled Oct. 5-12 on I-285 northbound between Cascade Road and Bolton Road. The work is part of the $1.2 billion I-285 and I-20 West Interchange project, and no more than one ramp will be closed at a time.

Late-shift workers, airport runs and anyone driving the west side of the Perimeter at night should plan for detours over the next two weeks.
