Dream Sweep Mystics 93-75 to Reach WNBA Semifinals for the First Time Since 2018

The Atlanta Dream beat the Washington Mystics 93-75 in Washington on Wednesday night to close out their first-round series and reach the WNBA semifinals for the first time since 2018, according to The Associated Press. Allisha Gray scored 22 points and Jordin Canada added 19 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, with 13 of her points in the fourth quarter. Atlanta hosts New York in Game 1 of the semifinals on Sunday.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the semifinal opponent is the No. 8 seed New York Liberty, with the best-of-five series starting Sunday at State Farm Arena. Game time is to be announced.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

After three straight first-round exits, a semifinal run brings a home playoff game to Atlanta this Sunday, which means more downtown traffic, watch parties and client-entertainment opportunities for Atlanta professionals and businesses.
