Angel Reese Named AP Defensive Player of the Year, a Dream First
Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese has been named The Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, the first player in franchise history to earn the honor, according to the team. Reese and guard Rhyne Howard were also both selected to the All-AP Second Team, the first pair of Dream teammates named to an AP All Team in the same season. Reese led the WNBA with 12.3 rebounds per game and set league single-season records with 506 rebounds and 32 double-doubles.
