The Atlanta Regional Commission has released 10 housing actions as the second step of Housing Forward 2035, its first-ever regional housing strategy, SaportaReport reported Oct. 16. The plan targets 367,000 new homes by 2035 and aims to cut the affordability gap in half for households earning under $55,000 a year. County and city targets are due in November, and the full ARC board will consider adoption in January 2027.
Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals
Housing costs decide where Atlanta professionals can live and how far they commute, and one of the 10 actions is engaging employers and workers on housing.
