2028 Olympic Torch Relay Will Start in Atlanta and Travel Through All 50 States
The torch relay for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will begin in Atlanta and pass through all 50 states before reaching Los Angeles, LA28 organizers announced Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. The flame will be lit in Olympia, Greece, and start its U.S. journey in spring 2028; organizers said Atlanta was chosen because it hosted the last U.S. Summer Games in 1996, and the full route will be announced in 2027.
