Jay-Z's Three Yankee Stadium Shows Grossed $42.3 Million, a Record for a Rapper, Touring Data Says

Jay-Z's three July 10-12 concerts at Yankee Stadium grossed $42,290,766 on 136,934 tickets, AllHipHop reported Oct. 11. According to Touring Data, that is the largest box office total recorded for a rapper's concert engagement.

The shows marked the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

It is a new ceiling for what a hip-hop catalog can earn live, three decades in, and a marker for every artist, promoter and venue pricing legacy shows, including the ones that come through Atlanta.
