Candy Prices Are Up 8.1 Percent From a Year Ago as Halloween Spending Heads to $13.5 Billion

Candy and chewing gum prices rose 8.1% in August from a year earlier, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data cited by FOX 5 Atlanta on Oct. 11.

The National Retail Federation expects Halloween spending of $13.5 billion this year, up from $13.1 billion in 2025, including $4.1 billion on candy.

Why It Matters for Atlanta Professionals

Families and small businesses buying treats in bulk for offices, events or trunk-or-treats will pay noticeably more this year, so comparing prices early matters.
